DCI John Barnaby kent zijn klassieken
In de aflevering Dark Hours (seizoen 4, aflevering 5, oorspronkelijk uitgezonden in 2001) van de serie Midsomer Murders spelen de Selected Poems en het gedicht So We’ll Go No More a Roving een rol.
De assistent van DCI John Barnaby heeft een exemplaar van Selected Poems gekocht om cadeau te doen, maar zijn cadeau wordt niet geaccepteerd. So We’ll Go No More a Roving was waarschijnlijk het lievelingsgedicht van degene voor wie het boek bestemd was. De eerste regel van het gedicht staat ook op het kaartje bij een van de boeketten op het graf van een van de slachtoffers in Dark Hours.
Barnaby citeert de eerste strofe aan het slot van de aflevering.
